Our 2026 Urban Angel Bedroom Makeover has officially been revealed and Nicholas loved it.
This year’s recipient, Nicholas Toniolo, is a 14-year-old Windsor-Essex teen preparing for major scoliosis surgery. With recovery ahead, our goal was to create a bedroom that felt comfortable, personal, mature, and supportive. A space where Nicholas could rest, heal, play video games, watch TV, spend time with friends, and feel completely at home.
This project is exactly why Urban Angel exists: to use design as a way to bring comfort, joy, dignity, and hope to kids and families in our community.
As Seen on AM800
We were honoured to have AM800 attend Nicholas’ bedroom reveal and share his story with the Windsor-Essex community.
Nicholas shared that being chosen made him feel happy and grateful, and that his new room will help him feel more comfortable, independent, and welcome as he prepares for surgery and recovery.
A Community Effort
Urban Angel would not be possible without the generosity of local businesses, suppliers, trades, and community partners who donated their time, products, services, and support.
